THIS IS ME IN TWO SENTENCES.

My name is Anita Hoepner (with a silent 'o') and I am a freelance graphic designer in the Metro Detroit area. I am also an overachieving, results driven, and detail-oriented perfectionist, with a side of quirky.

THIS IS HOW I GOT HERE.
I earned my Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing at Oakland University and began working as a Project Administrator for the Ford Mobility Motoring program at Marketing Associates. I worked closely with the Art Department and Graphic Designers on various projects, such as trade show displays, magazine ads, brochures, and other marketing collateral for the program. After a year or so, I realized my strength was on the creative side of marketing. I landed a Creative Associate position at McKinley, a multi-million dollar property management company in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 2010, I decided to venture off on my own and established ANH (pronounced 'on' or 'ahn') Design LLC. During my years as a Freelance Graphic Designer, I've had the opportunity to work on a myriad of different projects, everything from wedding invitations to website design.

ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF.

THIS IS MY LIFE OUTSIDE OF ANH DESIGN.

I devote most of my time and talent in volunteering for non-profit organizations and supporting small local businesses. I am heavily involved at my church as an Outreach Committee Member, also helping the local VFW Post's marketing efforts. In October 2017, I founded Sparrow Freedom Project, a grassroots volunteer/community-based organization in South Lyon, MI. The project's primary focus is to raise awareness about Human Trafficking through community awareness events, fundraisers, youth programs, art programs, and collaborating with other local non-profit organizations who share the same mission.

Aside from community work, you'll find me treasure hunting at antique stores/boutiques and adopting neglected/unwanted decorative pieces or furniture to repurpose/repaint. If it involves exercising the right side of my brain, I'm all for it! Aside from shopping and DIY projects that I never get around to doing, I enjoy traveling to historic spots and spending quality time with family and friends.
